Let me take you back to where it all began—over many cups of coffee on many a Saturday morning. As my partner and I sat down for our weekly ritual, little did we know that these seemingly ordinary moments would create something extraordinary—Folde + Sonder.

With respective careers in the spa industry and architecture, we couldn’t help but notice the natural synergy between our fields. Architects meticulously craft spaces with both form and function in mind, while the spa industry transforms these spaces into havens for relaxation and rejuvenation. It was during one of our coffee-table conversations that we delved deeper into the growing desire among individuals to reconnect with nature on a profound level.

And so, the seed of Folde + Sonder was planted—how could we merge our expertise to create an immersive wellness experience amidst natures landscape? The answer lay in re-imagining traditional spa settings, weaving carefully curated design elements into every aspect of the experience. By harmonizing architectural principles with the beauty of natural surroundings, we envisioned a sanctuary where guests could truly unwind and recharge.

The search for a physical location led us down a winding path, but after months of fruitless searching, we found ourselves re-evaluating our approach. That’s when the concept of Folde + Sonder Studio was born—a treatment space designed to roam and be sited in diverse and captivating landscapes.

Bringing this vision to life hasn’t been without its challenges. It has taken months of meticulous planning but as Folde + Sonder Studio takes shape, our treatments and products in development, we know we are onto something special.

Folde + Sonder isn’t just a place; it’s an experience—an opportunity for individuals to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and find peace and tranquillity. We are curating our treatment menu with meticulous detail, crafting face and body treatments as distinct as our surroundings.

We believe in the power of nature’s remedies, which is why we are handcrafting our products using only the purest botanicals. Our commitment to a sustainable approach means that our products are made in small batches, ensuring both quality and environmental responsibility.

Our discussions constantly circled back to the importance of maintaining our independence, benefiting both the sites in which we are situated and guests alike. The freedom to explore freely allows us to fully appreciate the breathtaking views from every vantage point.

We’re developing a reliable infrastructure: employing battery and solar power systems to sustain our operations regardless of our whereabouts. Our utilisation of water tanks plays a vital role in conserving water, minimising wastage. It’s all about managing our resources wisely and maximising the natural beauty around us.
